CERAMIC SAUCE CONTAINER

This project was about creating a ceramic product that could be used in the kitchen as a funcional object and also with a decorative propose.

THE PROCESS

It started with plans and hand sketching of how the product woud be. Later on, came the molds in plaster part, followed by ceramic pouring, slipcasting and, after the four pieces were formed, they went to the oven. The final step was sanding and polishing the pieces.

To support the four containers, there's a wood plate that was also handmade in the wood workshop, with scoops to give more stability to the containers.
THE RESULT

It's a four piece sauce container with a wood base. The containers allow the user to pour the sauce in their food without the need of a spoon. The pointed configuration of the containers makes it easy to dose the amount of sauce and stops the dripping.
